Always Remember This Moment
Here I sought to abstract the color and wonder of an ocean sunset. I used an underlayer of tissue to provide the texture of waves, but I pushed past the usual seascape imagery to incorporate geometric components that invite the viewer to re-focus on various aspects of the scene, helping to see it differently and perhaps even preserve it better in memory.
This painting is gallery-wrapped, meaning that the imagery continues over the front onto the 1-1/2" deep sides. It has been mounted in a special deep floating frame and has been wired and is ready to hang.
